"I think that categories can be useful since calling this novel a "romance thriller" is helpful when choosing something new. That said, Only One, by Barbara Woster, is wonderful fiction no what what label you place on it. The main character is the remarkable young woman, Lara Esterhaus. It is around 1800 and society has no room for remarkable, intelligent and beautiful young women. This is a page turner! Well worth reading!"
